# The 15th China Iron and Steel Annual Conference
The 15th China Iron and Steel Annual Conference is scheduled to be held at the Beijing Conference Center on October 23-24, 2025 (with registration on October 22). Held every two years, the China Iron and Steel Annual Conference is a highly influential comprehensive academic event that leads the development of the metallurgical materials discipline and drives technological innovation in the iron and steel industry in China. In recent years, the scale and academic influence of the conference have been further expanded, attracting wide attention from scientific and technological workers in the field of metallurgy and materials. This year’s conference is co-hosted by The Chinese Society for Metals and MCC Jingcheng Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.
2025 marks the final year of “The 14th Five-Year Plan” and the planning year for “The 15th Five-Year Plan”. Developing new-quality productive forces is an inevitable requirement for seizing the opportunities of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation to advance the construction of a strong iron and steel nation. With the theme “Boosting the Construction of a Powerful Iron and Steel Science and Technology Nation with New-Quality Productive Forces”, this year’s conference will conduct exchanges and discussions focusing on such areas as basic theories of iron and steel metallurgy, process technology, advanced iron and steel as well as metal materials, digital intelligence, safety and environmental protection.
The conference will consist of plenary reports, parallel session reports, poster presentations, and exhibition displays. It has received more than 1,100 submissions, and will set up 33 thematic parallel sessions, with over 700 excellent reports expected to be delivered. We warmly welcome experts, scholars, and scientific and technological workers from the national iron and steel, metal materials, and related fields to attend the conference for exchanges.
