How to produce high quality clean steel in energy saving, environmental protection and low cost has become an important issue in today’s world steel production. However, the production of low-cost high-quality clean steel is not only dependent on an advanced equipment, an advanced technology or an advanced process can be completed alone. It is not a single choice after the product comes out. It is precisely the comprehensive embodiment of the whole process of steel production (from ironmaking to steel rolling) advanced equipment, reasonable process, technological progress, scientific management, and consistent operation. It is a complete system engineering. In this paper, the author puts forward the concept of “four dimensional thinking of high-quality clean steel”. That is, when studying the production of high-quality clean steel, it is necessary to think from the vertical, horizontal, high and four-dimensional space to the whole system, all-round and comprehensive, and produce high-quality clean steel with reproducibility.
