CISA holds the grand opening of Metallurgy China 2024 and the Inaugural Steel Structure Construction Industry Chain Expo
The 22nd China International Metallurgical Industry Expo, known as Metallurgy China 2024, along with the 1st Steel Structure Construction Industry Chain Expo, was grandly inaugurated at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on September 3rd, marking the commencement of a three-day industry showcase.
He Wenbo, Party Committee Secretary and Executive Chairman of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), Chen Yiming, President of the China Real Estate Industry Association, Qian Gang, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of CITIC Special Steel Group, Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager of China Minmetals and Party Committee Secretary of MCC, Jiang Wei, Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Vice Chairman, and Secretary-General of the CISA, President of the Metallurgical Council of CCPIT, and Xia Nong and Tang Zujun, Vice Chairmen of the CISA, graced the opening ceremony with their presence.
The event was expertly moderated by Su Changyong, Deputy Secretary-General of the CISA and Vice President of the Metallurgical Council of CCPIT.
In his keynote address, He Wenbo highlighted the legacy of Metallurgy China, which since its inception in 1987, has evolved into a globally recognized and influential metallurgical industry event. He emphasized the significance of the exhibition industry as a pivotal modern service sector and a crucial platform for establishing a modern market and an open economic framework. Metallurgy China 2024 has drawn nearly 400 renowned enterprises from around the world, with an increasing number of industry leaders actively participating. The expo serves as a hub for the most innovative metallurgical technologies, state-of-the-art equipment, and visionary solutions from across the globe. The concurrent hosting of the Steel Structure Construction Industry Chain Expo has opened up new avenues for comprehensive collaboration within the steel construction industry chain. This exhibition is more than just a display of the industry’s achievements, it provides a rare opportunity for enterprises in the industry chain to strengthen in-depth cooperation and win-win development and injects new momentum into jointly promoting the technological progress of the global metallurgical industry and achieving higher quality development.
He Wenbo, Chen Yiming, Qian Gang, and Chen Jianguang jointly cut the ribbon for the expo, marking the official opening.
A new book release ceremony of the Metallurgical Industry Publishing House was also held at the opening ceremony.
